Trust Your Gut: 5 Way to Break the Barriers Between You and Your Best Self

ree

There have been many times when a patient has looked me in the eye and said, “I think I already know what’s going on.”

Sometimes it’s something oddly specific like,

“I think this supplement that’s helping with my sweating is making me smell something metallic.”

At first, we both laugh at how strange that sounds—but here’s the truth: Your body knows and when you learn to listen, more times than not, it tells you exactly what it needs; what YOU need to be healthier.

Instead of brushing it off what my patient was saying, I listened, and advised that she stop that supplement. The sweating stayed gone—and so did the metallic smell!

That’s the power of intuition. It’s your inner knowing; your divine compass.

Your intuition is how God is communicating with you and guiding you back toward balance and health.

Oh, I do know that trusting your gut and actually taking action is HARD. Between noise, pressure, stress, and endless to-do lists, we second-guess, overanalyze, and ultimately ignore what our soul already knows.

If you did start listening…If you did follow that quiet nudge—would you have more energy? Sleep better? Lose the weight? Feel more like yourself again?

I can tell you with 100% certainty: Yes. You absolutely would.

Let me ask you a different question. Have you heard anyone say that trusting their gut was a mistake? NOPE, because your gut is ALWAYS right.

So let’s explore what your intuition might be saying. Maybe it’s saying, “Cut back on sugar” or, “move your body more.” Maybe it’s calling for stillness—time to journal, to pray, or to simply be.

You don’t have to do this exploration alone, by the way. I'm here as your thought leader, naturopathic doctor, and coach.

Let's go through a quick exercise:

There are real barriers that block even the most driven women from honoring what they know deep down.

Here are 5 ways I can help you start removing those barriers—today.

1. Get clear on what your intuition is saying.

Clarity comes from slowing down long enough to listen. Pick one change—not five. Over-achievers struggle with this as we want to conquer everything right now. To avoid feeling overwhelmed, start small, stay consistent, and make it stick for life.

2. Identify where your temptations live.

If sugar is your vice, where does it find you? At home? In your office? During happy hour? Awareness is the first step toward change.

3. Plan for those moments of weakness.

If you know where temptation strikes, plan around it. Remove the junk food from home. Don’t buy it “just in case.” If your spouse or partner can support you—invite them to join your mission to feel better.

4. Replace, don’t restrict.

Habits are easier to change when we substitute, not strip away. If you unwind after work with a drink, pour something different. Kombucha, sparkling water, or even a mocktail are great choices. Pour them in your favorite glass. Keep your routine, just shift the ingredients. Once you’ve mastered that craving, then introduce new rituals—like stretching, journaling, or a walk before dinner.

5. If you’re still stuck, let’s talk.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t what to do—it’s why we can’t seem to do it. That’s where I come in. During our Get Your Spark Back Strategy Session, we uncover what’s really blocking your energy, motivation, or peace—and create a plan to move through it.

Your intuition already knows the next step. My job is to help you trust it, act on it, and remove whatever’s standing in the way.

When you’re ready to start, let’s connect. Your best self is waiting—and she already knows the way.
